The book is well written -- it flows nicely -- isn't complicated

The book is well written -- it flows nicely -- isn't complicated. I really liked the format -- made it an easy read. The author deftly weaves the reality of his stroke with his spirituality that saw him through his experience. He pulls no punches about what he endured with his stroke..it can be graphic at times........but the element of hope always shines through. The author is correct, the principles of his book can apply to almost any unexpected journey in our lives.

Worthwhile reading for any too busy person

This very personal book is written by a minister whose life was changed by a stroke and heart attack in the midst of a successful ministerial career. His description of the signs of its onset is gripping. (Lee includes an appendix of signs of impending stroke that is worth the price of the book.) Using many scripture passages and devotional thoughts, Lee walks us through his rehabilitation, the support of his church, and the moment when he had to be let go as pastor so the church could go on. He includes several bios of Bible people and has the text of several gospel songs he wrote with a friend in his youth to illustrate life's lessons
This book is touching, challenging to read, and rich in spiritual and health resources. The subtitle "Beating the Odds to Become a Walking Miracle" is a good summary
