DAVID BUTLER is by day a high school religious educator sharing his love for the scriptures and his belief that there is a power for good innate in every human soul. By night he is a fort builder, waffle maker, sports coach, and storyteller for his five favorite little people, also known as his children. Somewhere in between he is a motivational speaker and writer. He and his wife, Jenny, live with their family amid the snowcapped peaks of the Mountain West, but they often dream of a beach house on a sunny shore somewhere.

RYAN JEPPESEN cultivated his love for art while growing up on a dairy farm in northern Utah. Ryan graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor s degree in marketing and a master s of business administration degree. He spends his days working at a cushy desk job and comes home at night to fully unleash his creativity by painting, drawing, illustrating, building websites, wood carving, toy building, sculpting, bread baking, and helping with countless Primary projects. I love this book

I love this book! And so do my kids. The illustrations are amazing and I know it has already had an impact on my kids. We are taught to apply the BOM to our lives and it helps my kids do this through exploring the character and choices of the great and the terrible people in the scriptures. Excellent FHE!! We will be giving these out as gifts for Christmas.

they begged me to buy it for them

On a recent trip to Utah to tend a couple of my grands, we saw this at Deseret Book. My grandchildren begged me to buy it for them, but I held off. Since children enjoy getting things in the mail, I ordered this as soon as I got home from my trip. They will be so excited to get it. Hopefully, they will use it to plan family home evening and for Sunday reading. Now I'm going to buy one for myself and one for each of my other children with children of their own.

We picked up this book on our recent trip to Utah. My kids have LOVED reading it and have planned our last two Family Home Evenings all by themselves using the lesson ideas in the book. The illustrations are fabulous and the activities are fun! Tonight we had an obstacle course inspired by Lehi! Highly recommend "Ites"!!

What's behind the story?
When I began writing the Among Us Trilogy, I had been entertaining myself by watching back to back episodes of Fringe. I loved how the story would start out like any normal CIA type of crime mystery TV show and then go completely sideways. Serious characters would find themselves in crazy and impossible to believe situations and yet would carry on as if it were really happening, taking us, the viewers, into this altered reality. What was most fascinating is that the story was always told in multiple points of view by different characters. Protagonists were also antagonists in the story arc or even in the same episode. And it all made sense even when it didn't. Joshua Jackson says it all in this quote...
"I would rather be part of a show that aims for best ever and comes in 2nd than aims for mediocrity and achieves its goal." - Joshua Jackson

About the Author
Anne-Rae Vasquez's upcoming book Reveal book 3 of the Among Us Trilogy is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2015. Her latest novels, RESIST, book 2 of the Among Us Trilogy and Imminent-a Truth Seeker Conspiracy Thriller were released in November 2014. Doubt, Book 1 of the Among Us Trilogy was a Gold winner in the Readers' Favorite Book Awards 2014. Doubt was launched at the Raindance Book Festival in 2013. Among Us Trilogy is a series about a group of online gamers who band together to investigate who or what is behind the supernatural events happening around the world.

Resist Delivers!

Let me start by stating that I really enjoyed the first novel in this series by Anne-Rae Vasquez. It provided an interesting mix of science, religion, supernatural, etc. The plot twisted and turned in exciting and surprising ways. The end of "Doubt" left everything up in the air; the main characters' world had fallen into chaos. Where would it all go?

"Resist" answers that question in dramatic fashion. From its opening pages, you are pulled back into the story. The action is intense and never really lets up. Along the way you learn more about the characters and the sinister plot that threatens the very soul of humanity.

Nothing is really ever as it seems. Angels. Demons. Heroes. Villains. The battle for the fate of humankind rages on in these pages, and I look forward to the final chapter.

I liked the first one but I liked this one better!

I followed the adventure of the characters here from the first book in the series. I honestly thought that like many other "series" books, the second one or the middle one is the most unlikable of among it. But, as always with this author, I am very much incorrect.

The book starts where the first one left off. A good plus for readers who haven't read what the first one is about. It unfolds to a story right in the middle of a trilogy but never lacking the interest-giving and curiosity-making ideas the first book has. If the first book gave me one heck of twist and turns, it never did ran out in this second one. I very much loved the twist with Harry and Serena, considering their first meeting in the book. I am very much curious on Cristal's power, it's limit and it's uses. I am very annoyed (in a good way) about the two angels(?) Kerim and Raffe on what their part is and on what side they are on. I am very refreshed when the author describes what Harry feels when with his new bride. I am very surprised on the way they chose the title of this book, simple but unexpected. The tug-of-war between technology and spirituality and mysticism made this series a very unique among the genre.

Almost all the second book in a trilogy is the most uninteresting one providing as a bridge to the introduction of the first book and the climax on the second book. Don't mistake this book with those other books. This is a complete book which can never be mistaken as a necessity to read to fully understand the whole story, This is a must read because you will enjoy and love the story of this book itself and love it more if you have read the first one.

Kudos for Anne-Rae Vasquez for this book and this series. I am very very much interested how the story will unfold on the next one!

Spectacular follow up to Doubt

Ann-Rae Vasquez brings us yet another spectacular part of the “Among Us” series. “Resist” is the sequel to “Doubt” - a sci-fi slash thriller type of novel that got my heart racing from the abundance of twists, turns, mystery and suspense. With lingo and scenarios that would satisfy your average online gamer’s desires, it was a great introduction to a Fringe-like universe and to its beloved characters, Harry and Cristal. In order to fully appreciate the story of this one, I believe that you need to read the first one beforehand.

The prologue throws us right back in the action, with Harry stepping through the portal, on a mission to find his mother and Cristal’s father. In the next section, the chapters shift between our two heroes: we follow Harry’s unpredictable journey in the other world, with characters that we were once familiar with; at the same time we follow Cristal as her special powers begin to manifest in this world.

I enjoyed the classic “good versus evil” and the “final battle” plots as the main conflict in this book. Even though it is a fantasy type of work I do believe the parallels between that and reality do exist and becomes more apparent as the world goes through tougher times (earthquakes, war, Ebola, among others). As we battle the forces of evil, where are the forces of good that is supposed to be on our side? Have they given up on us as they have done so in “Resist”? Will we be facing a New World Order similar to Global Nation?

Cant wait to read the final book of the Among Us Trilogy!

AN AFRICAN REALITY STORY

Monkeys In My Garden had my hair standing on end at times! If I didn't know Val and her husband, O'D, I would have thought the book far-fetched and just a bit too incredible. But I do know them, and their dedication to the forest, the environment, and the people they love and support. I had been horrified over the years to hear of some of their very confronting challenges, from being attacked with machetes and AK47's to the spitting cobra in the engine of their car. Val writes beautifully - whether in an email or in this amazing book. If you have ever been to any part of Africa, it is a 'must read' for Westerners who only look on from the outside!

Monkeys in my Garden is a gripping and absorbing story, told with humour even when the author is describing the often hair-raising and life-threatening events she and her husband O'D lived through.
I especially enjoyed the colourful and larger than life characters that more often than not caused havoc in the author's life.
Characters such as the devious and untrustworthy Chuck; Nora Swete, the woman possessed by the Nippa Demon; Black Kitty and Mr. Ying, Mr.
Chang asnd Mr. Deligong, opera singing Chinese wood buyers. And of course, most important of all, the Pixley's much beloved Mozambican partner, Caetano.

Valerie paints a good picture of what one can expect in Mozambique today.

Fascinating and Brilliant

This was a book that describes Valerie Pixley's life in the back of beyond, in central Mozambique. The book is well written (a pleasure to read), with words that simply flow across the page, and the historic events, which pop up in the story, are factual and accurate.

Juliet Cameron touched my heart and opened my emotional senses with this fantastic piece of work. As I read the pages it was like I was there with her in her struggles as a young child. She takes readers on a roller coaster of emotions, and at the same time; gives others who have gone through the same kinds of abuse hope that their life can change. About the Author

Since 2007, Diane M. Dresback has been active in the independent film industry. She has written, directed and produced several short films winning numerous awards for her efforts. Diane received the 2012 Arizona Filmmaker of the Year Award and continues her passion for storytelling with her first novel entitled - Promise of Protection. In addition to indie filmmaking, she continues work on her next novel, a book series, and her blog. One of her feature length scripts led to a film called ATROPHY that is available on Amazon.

Since I know Diane as a filmmaker, I was curious about her new life as a writer. Well, of course, she's good at that as well. The words flowed off the page. Visualizing the characters and the town was easy. It was a wonderful story that I truly enjoyed.

This book allows the reader to see in to the author's childhood & young adult life on how she overcame the unbearable abuse her mother put her through where as most mothers are supposed to be nurtures and here she is one that painfully hurts her daughter mentally & physically and then on top of that someone else whom is supposed to be there to protect sexually abuses her but yet through it all she overcomes diversity and is now stronger because of it all and she can now testify to others that they too can rise above wow i cant wait to see what else this arthor has in stored
