Chocolate Labrador training Author Bio Paul Allen Pearce is the author of many breed specific “Think like a Dog” dog-training books. When his family duties allow, he spends his spare time outdoors with his two dogs Buck and Samson. He lives in the South Eastern part of the United States. As a youth, a family trip to Australia forever changed the course Paul would take on his way to return home to South Carolina to begin a family, raise dogs, and eventually write. For a year in high school, Paul headed back to Australia to study, and then again, during college he did the same. After finishing college, he headed to Africa to work with the Peace Corps. Paul’s family is dog lovers and often took in strays. Paul and his siblings were taught how to care and train the family pets and dogs. Both his parents grew up with many animals and had generational knowledge to pass forth to their offspring. Being reared around all sorts of animals, his curiosity to work with animals grew. Upon returning back to the U.S. and purchasing his own dog he realized he didn’t know as much as he could, thus began his journey into owning and full time dog training. Dog training is my passion. Great for beginner dog parents

Bringing my chocolate home I didn't know what to expect exactly and quite honestly still am winging certain things with his trait specific needs, this book gives great insight and quick cliff like notes on not only how to spot personality traits but also how to reinforce the positive and subdue the negative less likable traits. I look forward to digesting the "think like an alpha" book. superbly written noir short

What a delightful read! Excellent dialog, coherent and believable plot.

A down and out private investigator is hired to track down a material witness in a personal injury case.
Chercover gives sufficient detail to the investigative techniques without over-doing it.

The sadness in the lives of the people he meets along the way are beautifully described without being mawkish - especially the ex-wife and the trailer park manager.

One of the best written stories I've had the pleasure to read in a long time.

A tasty serving of Chercover

Ray proves his skill as a PI by tracking down a reluctant witness using his wits and ability to blend with all sorts of characters. But he'll need more than street smarts to convince his quarry to talk. In fact he'll need a miracle. Or maybe just a little time. But time is running out.
Sean Chercover does a great job of keeping the pages turning and proves once again that a good private eye makes his own luck.

A Great Read

This is one of those books where the reader resents having to put the book aside to have something to eat. The action is terrific. The characters range from flawed heroic to downright slimy. The author's descriptions of the scenes and the characters were excellent - I was disgusted with the foul breath and yellow teeth of Mustafa Karim, I could see the rolling waves and hear those waves lapping the shore. Communications are way better than we had during the cold war. (Not sure this is better though). Regan handles some very difficult problems with skill and empathy but also takes on some enormously difficult challenges that threaten her life and others and even the security of our country. She does not get great support from CIA Headquarters so while the communications are superior, some other things have not changed that much. This is a great read - I was sorry when the story ended.

A taut, thrilling ride that pulls you in and drags you through. A new and fresh voice in suspense from a very informed author. Couldn't put it down, can't wait for the next one. Hope the author is hanging out in Wyoming with CJ Box and Craig Johnson, thy have a lot in common in no nonsense, morally hopeful characters and rich, captivating plots.

Michael Clemons (affectionately known as 'Big Mike') is an internationally renowned drummer and producer. A native of Stratford, CT, Mike got his start in music through the support of his mother, Pastor Rosa Clemons, and their church. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, Mike played relentlessly in church, expressing his faith and love for God musically, and believing that more opportunities would eventually come, if he stayed grounded in his faith.
As an entrepreneur, together with his wife Cheryl 'Coko' Clemons, Mike has launched a clothing line as well. In terms of personal health advocacy, Mike has proven through his own hard work that it's possible to gain and maintain a healthy lifestyle, no matter your age or occupation. After several years of being overweight, Mike has lost over 100 pounds and kept it off through a lifestyle change of diet and exercise. His success in becoming physically fit has even led to opportunities to incorporate physical health lessons and demonstrations into his drum and production clinics around the globe.

I feel as though this book really takes you on a journey through the life of Mr. Clemons. It speaks of times with him and others in ways that you can see as you're reading them. It spoke also of situations that excite you as you read about them. And finally, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the "Love Story" embedded within the Journey in which his life is on. After, you've read it once, it will make you think, and quite possibly READ IT AGAIN.

You don't have to be a musician to enjoy Mike's story!

Although Mike Clemons is a critically-acclaimed drummer, I'd say that drumming only makes up about 1/4 of the story. This book is as much about Mike Clemons the brother, entrepreneur, friend and (eventual) husband and father as it is about Mike the musician.

If you're looking for a self-pitying tale of woe about a former fat kid who socks it to his enemies, this is not the book for you. You won't find Mike bemoaning his fatherless childhood or blaming playground bullies for his (sporadic) knucklehead behavior. Nor will you find a name-dropping braggart filled with juicy stories about life on the road, or constantly patting himself on the back about what a great drummer he is. Rather, Mike tells of the support he received from his family and friends, who encouraged his love of music and understood his (good) hustler's spirit.

As Mike the boy becomes Mike the man, you find yourself hoping that Mike asks out the girl he likes...chin-checks the bully making fun of his weight...makes it to his high school graduation...scores a date with the reticent, golden-voiced singer with the crazy nails...gets his health straightened out before it's too late. This is a great book that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys seeing nice guys finishing first.

Awesome testimony ! I recommend this book to the world because we are all battling with some sort of issue and some people think that success comes easy and we want to take the straight road BUT God has a different plan to shape and mold you ... people fail to realize when there's a calling on your life you are hit with all sorts of stones and it makes life a bit harder but when you believe in the most high and follow gods will he will fix and place everything you need in your path if you just obey and have strong faith ! Wonderful message and I feel most people can relate because a lot of people suffer from self insecurity's and you won't know how to love until you can love yourself and have god's love in you.God Bless
