R. Scott Williams is an advertising, marketing and public relations executive with a passion for researching and recording unpublished stories of the American South. After receiving his degree in journalism from the University of Memphis, he worked a variety of jobs until landing at Graceland, where he helped take care of business for the king for more than twelve years. Currently, he leads the marketing and communication initiatives at the Newseum, a museum of news and history in Washington, D.C.

A wonderful book!

This is a wonderful book! I thought I knew about Richard Halliburton and his brief life, but Scott Williams has brought more of Hallibuton's life and his relationship with his parents to the forefront. A must read for anyone who has an adventurous spirit, and a longing to travel the world!

I enjoyed the book about a local family and Richard's adventures

I enjoyed the book about a local family and Richard's adventures. Great insight as to the early 1900s, college life and Richard's adventures around the world. His books were on the best seller list, and I have just started his 1st book "The Royal Road to Romance" and he really is a good writer.
