About the Author
Mr. Ewing has worked with most of the major labels including Motown Records, MCA, Arista, CBS, Mercury Records, So So Def, Jive among others. Born in Chicago, Jerome moved to Memphis in the late '70s, where he learned photography in college in the early '80s and took off on a magical journey to Atlanta, Georgia, at the peak of the Atlanta exploitation, and now he is ready to share it with the world. The journey is so packed with events that it took seven year to unravel it out of his mind and understand what he had done. This book spans over a thirty-year period and will bring back so many wonderful memories. If you like reading fresh, unpredictable stories, if you like surprises, or if you just want to know what it was like backstage at some of the biggest shows of all time, this is the book for you.

Very Impressive ! This book will take you down memory lane!

l loved the book “More than Motown” because it is an interesting collection of events spanning over twenty plus years involving Jerome Ewing's ’s journey to photography. He speaks to the readers retelling his experiences as he encountered varies legendary icons in the music and motion picture industries that open doors for his dream as a photographer allowing him to beam with pride while in his element. I give it 2 thumbs up!.. Joann M

A Great Inspiring story!

I was captivated by the intro it was really heartfelt...great job, reeling us the readers in; on just that aspect. The chapters about his upbringing in vast areas of Chicago trying to establish his footing as a young man as well as finding his God-given talent. I was enthralled to seek the next chapters to see how he made his transitioning from unsure stability to strong foundation. I was deeply impressed with the flow of the story being told. I felt as though I was a rider in the passenger seat with him. I was glad to read the vivid details surrounding his love of photography to his down-to-earth reflections on his journeys with such well-know artists. I was drawn in own his professionalism toward his love of taking pictures, as well as his love for lasting friendships with the artists he had worked with. It's a AMAZING story, greatly written & a treasure to know a Memphis icon lives in our midst. Continue to shine through your memories & AMAZING journey.
